Just Featured and PaperCutz Challenge

Hi Everyone,
My Etsy shop was just featured in HJM Art Gallery's Blog. Go on over and check it out. There are several Q&A's with me and the blog itself is just beautiful. HJM Art Gallery has some really beautiful original art pieces for the home. Here is the web address http://hjmart.blogspot.com/. In other news, I spent the weekend working on new card concepts and I came up with this "Feel Better Soon" card. I am also entering it in the Paper Cutz Blog Challenge. I layed out all of my papers for this card and came up with this color scheme of red, black, cream, and aqua. I kind of like how the three colors work together. The cardstock base is bazzil black. The pattern paper is old Making Memories paper that I had in my stash. The red satin ribbon is from a beautiful box of chocolates that my husband gave me for Valentine's Day. The "Feel Better Stamp" is from one of my favorite stamp companys, Hero Arts. The Owl Stamp I believe is from Imaginisce. And the paper lace is from another one of my faves, good old Martha Stewart. I really liked the way that this one came out. Hope you all like it too :)

Here are some New Cards I made

Hi Everyone,
The weekend is almost here and I thought I would post some new cards that I listed for my Etsy shop. I was just playing around with some new paper that I had bought from Best Creations and My Mind's Eye and the card came together so quickly. I finished the cards off with some twine and my Hero Arts sentiments stamp. Hope you like it :)

Hi Everyone,
Well its finally here today is the day that I pick the winner of the Valentine's Day Giveaway. Here is how I scientifically calculated the winning comment :) First, I put each person's name who made a comment on a piece of paper and then I closed my eyes and drew the winner from my bowl (pretty scientific huh?). Anyways, can I get a drum roll please?........................The winner of the Valentine's Day giveaway is Mandy Miskelly! Congratulations Mandy for winning all these fantastic scrapbook goodies. All you have to do to receive your prize is email me at blog@lizabits.com with your name and your address and I will mail them off to you. Thanks to everyone who participated. Oops and Cricut Card Challenge

I just started a Valentine's Day giveaway earlier this week. It's been brought to my attention that the settings to my blog only allowed members of the blog to comment. Sorry about that. I would encourage you to join the site anyway so you can post on other blogs as well. I have had the settings fixed and will extend the giveaway until this Wednesday the 17th. Good Luck!

Here is a card that I created for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. The rules were to create a card using any cartridge you wish and to use the card feature. On this card, I used the Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. I used the round doily card. Then I punched a heart shape out of patterned paper and attached a teal ribbon to the very top. I used my Lizzie Anne Designs stamp to stamp the sentiment "Thinking of you". Hope you guys like it :)
Hope everyone is having a great weekend

Valentine's Day Give Away!!! Question for prize!

Hello Everyone,
As I promised, here is the question for the Valentine's Day Give Away. What is your best or worst Valentine's Day memory? For me, I have always been a little bit cynical when it comes to Valentine's Day. Every year when the dreaded "love" day would roll around I would just hate the feeling of being alone and not having anyone in my life. I always seemed to have the worst luck on Valentine's Day. Boyfriends that I had would either dump me around that time of year or I just never had anyone special to share the day with. Until I met the love of my life, my husband. I know it sounds so corny but now I know the meaning of true love and devoting your life to one person. My husband is really the best person in the whole world to me. He is my lover, my best friend, my confidant, he is a shoulder to cry on, and he makes me laugh like no one else can. I knew when I met him that I wanted to be with him forever. We got married within one month of meeting (Vegas Style) and I have never once regretted that decision. My husband always tells me that with us "Every day is Valentine's Day" and I feel that is how all of us should live each day. We should all be looking toward's the needs of the other person and cherish each moment with our loved ones. We should make sure to tell the people that we love just how much we love them every day because we don't know how much time we have left. Make every moment count. So in celebration of Valentine's Day go ahead and post your best Valentine's Day memories or your worst. You will have until Sunday, February 14th, Valentine's Day, to post those memories. I will announce the winner on Monday, February 15th so make sure to check back on that day to see if you won.
Good Luck

Martha Stewart Sale

Hi Everyone,
I Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday. I am trying so hard to get focused and get more items made for my store today. This weekend my husband and I are going to be so busy that I doubt I will have time for scrapbooking. We are going on a 7 hour drive to our hometown to visit our family and friends. The hardest part is the doctor is putting us on a gluten free, dairy free, corn free, soy free diet. Which means all fast food on this trip is totally eliminated. Does anyone have any tips for packing healthy snacks on a long road trip? Also here is a link to one of my favorite destinations on the web, the Martha stewart store. I just love her embellishments and paper punches.

Ballerina Cupcake Toppers Tutorial

First I started with a pattern for the bodice of the dress (this will be the base of the dress). Next you cut out a skirt that will be layered on top of the bodice.
Then you take a piece of tulle (slightly larger than the skirt layer) and you attach it to the very top of the skirt with double sided tape making sure to pleat the skirt as you go.
Next you take a piece of ribbon and adhere to the top of the skirt (as seen in the picture). Then you punch a flower shape out of cardstock and attach it to the front of the skirt.
Once the skirt is all done then you can attach the popsicle stick in between the skirt layer and the bodice layer. (I discovered that it is best to adhere it with a glue gun). And there you have a beautiful cupcake topper perfect for your little one's party.
So if you happen to find that these toppers are little too difficult to make yourself (or time consuming) then I got you covered. You can always buy these pre-made in my Etsy store. Just follow the link on the side of my blog page. And for those of you who wish to make it yourself, I am also selling a digicut for the "Sure Cuts Alot" program with the patterns to make the ballerina dress in my Etsy shop for $1.50. Note: The digicut is an SVG file and will only work with the "Sure Cuts Alot Program for the Cricut machine.
Till next time
