Celebrate Card

Hi Everyone,
Today is Tuesday! So that means it is time for another digital stamp release from Kathy Martin over at Two Peas in a Bucket. The new stamp for this week is just so cute, versatile, and very popular right now in the scrapping world. I was so excited to get started using this banner stamp. I created this card by using a 5"x 5" cardstock base. I hand colored the banners using my copic markers and attached them to a felt frame. I used a computer generated sentiment and added a white ribbon on the side of my card. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Materials
White Ribbon
Felt Frame (Fancy Pants)
Ledger Paper (Cosmo Cricket)
Cloud Paper (My Mind's Eye)
Banner Stamp (Digital Doodles)

Thank You Cards

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. This weekend we are driving back to Southern California for my husband to go race car driving! It should be lots of fun! I thought I would post a few cards I made before we take off. For some reason this week, I was hitting a creative wall but I managed to get my creative juices flowing again and I came up with these cards. I started by using a small white card base 3" x 3" and I added some coordinating pattern paper. I stuck these cute little felt embellishments on the bottom right hand corner of each card and I pop dotted little hearts and my stamped sentiment. To finish it off, I stitched along the left hand edge of the cards and tied a ribbon. Here is my tip for this card: Use glitter on small embellishments to add a little sparkle and interest to your project. Thanks for Looking and have a great weekend everyone :)

Materials Used:
Pattern Paper (American Crafts)
Felt Embellishments (Martha Stewart)
Heart Punch (not sure of the brand it is very very old)
Sentiment (Hero Arts)

Card for Digital Doodles DT

Hi Everyone,
Here is the card that I made for my design team work at Digital Doodles. This stamp was so much fun to work with! First I started with a Kraft cardstock base. Next, I printed out the digital stamp and colored it using copic marker. I also used fun lacy scallops and buttons to embellish the card. My tip for this card is to use your embellishments to draw the eye towards the focal point of your project (notice how I placed my embellishments on the bottom left hand corner and used this to draw the eye towards the center of my card).

Materials Used:
Cardstock (Bazzil)
Pattern Paper (My Mind's Eye)
Digital Stamp (Digital Doodles)
Buttons
Flower (Prima)
scallop border (Martha Stewart)

Birthday Weekend

Happy Monday :)
I just got back from a wonderful birthday weekend. My fantastic husband planned my birthday out perfectly. First, he bought me flowers when he came home from work, then he bought me
the cricut expression that I was just dying to have, then he planned a weekend trip to San Simeon to see Hearst Castle and we stayed in a beautiful hotel with ocean view rooms :) So Fun!! Then to top it all off he surprised me by inviting my parents to come up and visit ( we live so far away from them now that I rarely get a chance to see them). It was all so fun and perfect
that I didn't want to come back to real life :) I thought I would share a few pics with all of you from the weekend.

This is the view from our balcony. The ocean was literally right there :)

Here we are at Hearst Castle posing in front of one of the hugest swimming pools I have ever seen.

We took this picture while driving along Scenic Highway One (The background is a thick layer of clouds overlooking the cliff)

Scrapbook Time

Hey Everyone,
I have been in such a card making frenzy lately that my scrapbooking has kind of been pushed to the side but this week I decided to break out of card making mode and try a layout. Scrapbooking has always been my first love but I think I have kind of forgotten that lately. My goal is to try and make a layout a week. Kind of hard to do when I am busy making stuff for my Etsy store but I will try :) Anyways here is the layout I made (I will also be selling a pre-made version in my Etsy Store). I used a picture of my sweet little cutie pie niece (isn't she adorable). I went crazy with the Martha Stewart punch (which I am totally loving and for some reason need to use on everything I do). I also put my cricut to use and the SCAL program. Here is my tip for the layout: Using three dimensional foam dots to pop up your page elements adds depth to your layout and makes your page visually more interesting. Hope you like the layout :) Have a great weekend everyone :)

Material Used
*My Mind's Eye pattern paper (Quite Contrary)
* Martha Stewart Punch (butterflies, lace border)
*Bazzil Cardstock
*SCAL program (bunny, eggs)
*Random buttons and ribbon from my stash

Exciting News!

Hi Everyone,
I have a new card to share with all of you but first I have really exciting news! I have been asked to join Kathy Martin's design team for her new line of digital stamps. I am soooo excited! Her first three stamps go on sale today at Two Peas in a Bucket and I can tell you that they are so cute. I have been having fun playing with these digital stamps and creating projects with them. I will share some projects I created with the stamps next Tuesday :) If you are interested in purchasing them just click on the blinky which is on the right side of my blog.

Now here is the card I made this week:

It is kind of a fun, whimsical card that I created using the cricut machine. Here is my tip for this card: Using small monochromatic prints for little die cut pieces helps the print from becoming too overwhelming and creates subtle interest.
Material Used
*Cricut Cartridge "Sweethearts"
*Hero Arts Stamps (sentiment,bird)
*My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary Line)

Pounce Monday

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend :) My weekend was very calm and relaxing. I worked a little bit on some cards that I will share with you tomorrow. I also went through my scrapbooks and thought about actually creating a layout or two but then decided I just wasn't in the mood. I guess I am a lazy scrapper. I really need to get better at that. Also, last night I was busy surfing Etsy using the "pounce" feature and found some beautiful items that I thought I would share with all of you. These items come from new and undiscovered shops. "Lucy and Ellen" is a shop that sells really cool vintage decor for your home. I just love this vintage family scale. Also, Savvy Girl designs sells really unique and beautiful jewelry. Lastly, Jenn Diggs photography sells beautiful photographic prints. I really love this print with the trees. It is so colorful and vibrant. I will try and post some new cards tomorrow or hopefully scrapbook pages :) Have a great monday everyone :)

Hi Everyone,
I can't believe today is Friday already! Where did the week go? Sometimes I feel like the older I get the faster time passes. March is my birthday month and this year is the BIG one. I will be 30 years old! I can't even believe it! It just feels like yesterday I was graduating High School and now I am married and 30! My birthday falls on the first day of Spring every year so that has it has always been my favorite season. This year I can't wait for spring to arrive so I can get a break from all this rain we have been having in California and go out for picnics and take fun little walks. Ahh! I just love spring. Stay Tuned for a spring giveaway coming soon. Also in celebration of Spring, I created these cute little cherry thank you notes. I wish everyone a happy and safe weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Today is Monday and what better way to start the week off than with some cute cupcake cards. I am sorry to say but cupcakes are off limits for me now :( Yes I know, sadly the doctor has banned all gluten from our diet which means no more cupcakes for me :( I tried making gluten free cupcakes but they just aren't the same. At least I get to create some yummy cards though :) I made these cards using the cricut cartridge sweet treats and selecting the card function. I decided to go for a monochromatic color scheme and to make these cupcakes even more fun by using bright colors. I dry embossed the chocolate frosting to give the card some texture. I hope everyone has a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Deal for You

Hi Everyone,
Today I am going to give all you crafters a special gift from me to you. Here is a link for a 50% off coupon at Michael's. Yesterday I used it to buy a scoring board from Martha Stewart. I am so excited to use it. It has all the measurements for creating standard size envelopes and I can use it for countless other projects. There is even a storage compartment. I just love my Martha Stewart Products! So at Michael's the scoring board cost $20.00 and I got it for $10.00. Pretty good buy huh? Here is the coupon , it expires on March 6th. Hope this helps you :) If you would like to share what you bought feel free. I am always looking for another reason to spend money on craft supplies :)
Until Next Time
