Ballerina Cupcake Toppers

Hello Everyone,
So here is the project that I have been working on this weekend. Its another cupcake topper! My husband and I have been invited to my little niece's birthday party next weekend so I was kind of inspired to make a cupcake topper for a little girl. I figure there is nothing more girly than a ballerina dress! Here is a tutorial of how to make it :)

Hi Everyone,
I was in a bit of a creative rut today :( So I picked myself up and went (where else) but to my local scrapbook store. Thank God for paper shopping! I know I feel like such a nerd saying that but there is nothing like shopping when you are down. When I was there I picked up some paper from Best Creations Inc. from their line called "Once Upon a Dream". I don't know but for some reason I am really liking their paper. Maybe because it is glittery and sparkly? I am not sure. Now I am feeling better and am working on a project. Hopefully I will be able to post it by tomorrow and share it with all of you. Here is a link to Best Creation's: Website http://www.bestcreation.us/

Enjoy:)

Saving Money on Cricut Mat

Hi Everyone,
If anyone wants an idea on how to reuse that cricut mat that has lost its stickiness then I have a tip for you. First you buy a glue called Aleene's tack it over and over (I bought mine at Michaels for like $5.00). Next you get those spongy paint brushes (Which I also found at Michaels). Now all you do is mix equal parts water and glue in a container and brush the mixture onto your mat. Let it dry for one hour and you have a perfectly sticking mat again. This works really well for me and I haven't had any problems yet. Just thought I would share with all of you :)

My Cupcake Obsession

Hi All,
Since Valentine's day is just around the corner I started thinking about one of my favorite sweet treats. Cupcakes! I was thinking about ways to dress up my cupcakes for valentine's day and thought of this project. The cricut was my best friend and worst enemy on this project. I used the wild card cartridge to cut out the frame for the heart but my machine apparently had issues and didn't want to punch out the tiny holes along the frame. So I painstakingly punched out each hole by hand with my paper piercer. I used the Sweethearts cartridge to cut out the scalloped heart in the back and I used Best Creations pattern paper for the center heart. I then attached all pieces to a lollipop stick.
Keep on crafting!
