Hello Everyone,
As I promised, here is the question for the Valentine's Day Give Away. What is your best or worst Valentine's Day memory? For me, I have always been a little bit cynical when it comes to Valentine's Day. Every year when the dreaded "love" day would roll around I would just hate the feeling of being alone and not having anyone in my life. I always seemed to have the worst luck on Valentine's Day. Boyfriends that I had would either dump me around that time of year or I just never had anyone special to share the day with. Until I met the love of my life, my husband. I know it sounds so corny but now I know the meaning of true love and devoting your life to one person. My husband is really the best person in the whole world to me. He is my lover, my best friend, my confidant, he is a shoulder to cry on, and he makes me laugh like no one else can. I knew when I met him that I wanted to be with him forever. We got married within one month of meeting (Vegas Style) and I have never once regretted that decision. My husband always tells me that with us "Every day is Valentine's Day" and I feel that is how all of us should live each day. We should all be looking toward's the needs of the other person and cherish each moment with our loved ones. We should make sure to tell the people that we love just how much we love them every day because we don't know how much time we have left. Make every moment count. So in celebration of Valentine's Day go ahead and post your best Valentine's Day memories or your worst. You will have until Sunday, February 14th, Valentine's Day, to post those memories. I will announce the winner on Monday, February 15th so make sure to check back on that day to see if you won.
Good Luck
Honestly Valentines Day isn't that special in my house. I get hubby and my girls some chocolates and that is about it. Sounds boring, but if we want to do something special we will do it whenever we feel like it.
ReplyDeleteMy best Valentine's Day was several years ago when my husband sent me flowers at work with a beautiful card and an invitation to a beautiful restaurant. The perfect day and it made me feel very special.
ReplyDeleteI have been married for 34 years and my husband never has forgotten valentines day. Some valentines day we would make breakfast. on more lean valentines. he would go to our backyard and cut roses and put them on a vase. Some he would sent me flowers at work. When we had chldren he would always get them something to also make them feel special.
ReplyDeleteMy Best Valentines memory is when my husband and I just started dating He had to go out of town to work at that time, so he got his mom to buy me a teddy bear and a single rose. It was so cute! I still have that same teddy bear to this day (7 years later)!
