Peace after the Storm

The calm after the storm......This is where we are, I don't know how long it will last but I am cherishing every moment of peace that we have.  My husband came home this weekend from receiving treatments in New Mexico. Now he is more energetic, more strong, and the color has come back to his cheeks.  We took advantage of his good health and spent the day walking along the beach.  It felt as if we had been released from a prison that cancer has created for us for the past couple of months. My heart needed this vacation. I can feel my hope returning and somberness disappearing.  I only pray that God will restore his health completely.......

I used some older Basic Grey paper on this one. I rarely use shades of purple so I decided to give it a try here. I also used some "Prima" flowers and stamp from "Hero" arts.

I had fun with this one using up some "My Mind's Eye" embellishments and papers that I have had lying around my craft room for a while. Strawberries seemed like good inspiration to me since spring is right around the corner :)

I wish you all a fantastic week.  Remember to cherish your loved ones and give them an extra big hug.
Love
Elizabeth

P.S.  I just saw the movie "My Sister's Keeper"  it does a pretty good job of portraying the emotions that families go through when a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. Note: May be difficult to watch if you know someone who has cancer.

  2. Two beautiful cards Elizabeth, I especially like the first (and I'm not much of a purple user either). My very best wishes for your husband's continuing improvement. Life is very precious.....

I continue to keep your hubby (and you) in my thoughts and prayers.

I did see "My Sister's Keeper" and it was pretty emotional.

My sister's boyfriend is battling cancer again...but it's not looking good. *sigh*

  4. Elizabeth, your post today has me smiling at these absolutely stunning creations - your little attention to detail and flair for creating perfect cards just shines right through! Beautiful choices of paper and the lil strawberry card is just absolutely adorable!

My heart aches for you with all that you are experiencing with your husband and I will pray along with you for restored health, tranquility and for the treatments to give him that restoration. Your post is poignant and courageous and it's a small thing to do to pray for others, but I will certainly be doing that for you both. My husband was dx with Hodgkins-Lymphoma 4 years ago and I know exactly the gambit of emotions you are traveling through and believe me, there are times His strength carries you through the tides and other times you aren't sure if you are going to make it through. You are stronger than you think - when you think you might not be able to make it past one more thing, one more setback, take it slow and easy - an hour at a time. If even that is too much, then 5 minutes at a time. He is blessed to have you as his wife, standing by his side.

Blessings to you, many thoughts, much prayer!

  11. What is so incredible about coconut oil. Psoriasis, cancer prevention, and so on and so forth. If you are trying to put off all fats from your body because you watched this will help you shed pounds, you'll be doing all of your frame a extremely good disservice. https://alphatestoboostx.com
